Job summary

Generac is seeking an Associate Engineer to support the Engineering Lab with test equipment, setup, and data acquisition. The role requires collaboration with engineering and lab functions to determine test resource needs and to support test execution.

The candidate should communicate effectively, document work, create procedures, design and build test fixtures, and participate in ISO 17025 compliance while mentoring technicians and engineers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 15 years relevant work experience, or 12 years with an Associate Degree.
• Proficiency with various hand and power tools.
• Proficiency with electrical and mechanical test equipment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Support test equipment and setup for product testing per test procedures.
• Prepare data acquisition devices for recording measurements.
• Design, build and document test fixturing for lab testing needs.
• Maintain calibration and operation of test equipment per ISO 17025.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to support lab work.
• Assist with calibration and lab documentation.
• Mentor developing technicians and engineers.
