This entry level position will support a team of Specimen Management Consultants (SMC) and Clinical Specialists (CS) in the Pacific Northwest region who will be responsible for achieving sales objectives through targeted customer engagement, negotiation, contracting, training and general sales support. This position will have exposure to BD’s Specimen Management portfolio.

Responsibilities
- Supportthe regional salesteam(and national sales team as needed) gainingexposureto US healthcare;specificallylaboratory, nursing and physician engagement advancing ones’BD Way of Sellingand business/industryacumen.
- Completesales training inlearning the SM portfolioto effectivelyprovidesupport tofield associates.
- Protect and growSpecimen Management (SM)portfolio.
- Providecustomers product information,data insights,clinicaleducationandproducttraining.
- Inform customers of new and current pricing, backordermanagementand company policies.
- Executescomprehensive in-service ofSMproducts to all concerned individuals.
- Works closely withfield associates(SMC)and Regional Business Manager (RBM) on planning and prioritizing sales calls, managing timeand business traveleffectively.
- Develop thorough knowledge of allrelatedproducts.
- Work closely with and communicateoftenwith bothfield associatesand RBM, within assigned geography.
- Informfield associates(SMC)and RBM of significant changes in customer accounts.
- Report customer complaintsin accordance with the SMcomplaintpolicies andprocedures.
- Complete all administrative duties associated with positionper policy.
- Cultivatesnew and existing customers toestablishlong-term mutually beneficial relationships.
- Work a flexible work schedule and travel to meet the needs ofSMcustomers
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 1-2 years of outside sales experience or equivalency.
- Ability to travel up to 75%.
- Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Willingness to relocate for and promote to available account representative positions.
- Strong persuasion and influencing skills.
- Good judgment and professional behavior.
- Basic knowledge of Laboratory, Nursing and Medical Device industry.
- Excellent listening and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively build and sustain professional relationships with hospital, other sales and corporate office personnel.
- Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver's license and meet BD's auto safety standards.
- Ideal Candidate will reside in Minneapolis, Denver, or Seattle.
