Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Neurovascular Sales Representative to promote and sell Neurovascular products within an assigned territory, building lasting relationships with clinicians and hospital staff. The role includes providing clinical support during procedures and educating customers on the benefits of Medtronic solutions.

The candidate should have substantial sales or clinical experience in medical devices, with preference for interventional stroke procedure exposure, and must be willing to

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in a relevant field
  • 4+ years in sales or clinical fields in medical devices or healthcare
  • 3 years in medical or hospital service-line function (Nice to Have)
  • Experience in OR or cath lab settings (Nice to Have)
  • Interventional stroke procedure exposure (Nice to Have)
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 50%
  • Willingness for on-call nights and weekends (30% of time)

Responsibilities

  • Promotes and sells Neurovascular products to meet targets
  • Builds long-term relationships with distributors, surgeons, nurses, and key opinion leaders
  • Pursues leads, assesses needs, and maximizes product value during cases
  • Identifies opportunities and collaborates with sales reps to grow accounts
  • Provides clinical and technical support during procedures and discusses options
  • Educates customers on Medtronic products and services
  • Executes sales strategy and manages the sales process in the territory
  • Communicates product benefits to physicians and hospital staff
  • Interfaces with hospital personnel to promote products
  • Trains medical personnel in product usage and applications
  • Responds to inquiries and complaints
  • Identifies target accounts and reports on sales effectiveness
  • Projects a professional company image at all times
  • Represents the company at medical symposia
  • Role requires on-call nights and weekends 30% of the time

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Promotes and sells Medtronic's Neurovascular products and services within an assigned geographic area and/or specific customer accounts to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Responsible for developing, building, and strengthening long-term relationships with stakeholders including distributors, surgeons, nurses, and key opinion leaders
  • Responsible for pursuing leads, assessing needs and providing product services to maximize the benefits derived from Medtronic's Neurovascular products and/or services
  • Identify selling opportunities and work closely with the sales representatives to increase sales in their respective accounts
  • Provides clinical and technical support during cases and informs the clinician of patient treatment options
  • Promotes education of the company's products and/or services
  • Execute Company sales strategy and manage sales process for the defined area
  • Communicate benefits of Medtronic products to physicians
  • Interface with hospital personnel to promote and sell Medtronic products
  • Train medical personnel in use of Medtronic products
  • Respond to inquiries and complaints
  • Identify target accounts
  • Analyze and report on effectiveness of sales techniques
  • Project professional company image
  • Represent Company at medical symposia
  • This role requires on-call nights and weekends 30% of the time
Requirements
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) AND 4+ years experience OR Associate’s Degree AND 2+ years experience OR Bachelor’s Degree
  • Relevant sales, clinical, or related experience in medical devices, medtech, healthcare, or life sciences
  • 3 years in medical or hospital service-line function, medical sales (Nice to Have)
  • Demonstrated experience in properly functioning within an office or hospital based operating room or cath lab setting (Nice to Have)
  • Clinical experience in the interventional suite, hospital environment, or emergency medical response (Nice to Have)
  • Experience in medical device sales, focused heavily on interventional stroke procedures (Nice to Have)
  • Must have a valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy
  • Must be able to drive approximately 50% of the time within assigned territory and may require overnight travel
