About the Role
The Structural Dynamics and Product Assurance team are dedicated to ensuring the utmost reliability and durability of critical systems and components. We evaluate functionality, structural integrity, and environmental compatibility to prevent costly failures. Our testing conditions simulate extreme environments encountered during storage, transportation, and operation, ensuring safety and performance.
Objectives
- Support engineering projects with test setup, execution, and data collection.
- Support our Helmet Test Program and other testing protocols within the Environmental Test Laboratory.
- Assist in diverse testing activities, including helmet testing, crash testing, impact testing, fence testing, drop testing, and vibration/shock testing.
Responsibilities
- Lead test equipment and helmet setup for the helmet testing program, involving mechanical assembly, data acquisition, and documentation.
- Perform mechanical assembly tasks based on instructions.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, data logging equipment, and MS Office software.
- Operate vehicles, forklifts, and overhead cranes safely.
- Document testing procedures and results manually and electronically.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in mechanical engineering or technology preferred.
- 1-5 years experience interpreting engineering schematics and procedures for mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic systems.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical assembly.
- Legible handwriting and computer skills for data documentation.
- Welding or construction experience is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Additional Requirements
Must be a U.S. person due to ITAR regulations.
