J.Crew Factory in New York is seeking a Technical Designer to evaluate and measure incoming garments, understand the fit history and deadlines, and build precise tech packs with sketches and grade rules. You will work independently with factories to resolve construction issues, communicate daily with vendors and internal teams, and track samples to ensure all dates are met.

• College Degree in technical design, fashion design or equivalent work experience in related area.
• 2-4 years of technical design experiences.
• Knowledge of fit, grade rule and sewing.
• Knowledge of pattern-making and draping.
• Experience with PLM, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Illustrator.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate and measure incoming garments to ensure alignment with vendor supplied measurements.
• Lead fittings and communicate with cross functional team members.
• Build tech packs with garment sketches, standard sketches, construction sketches and details, trims, measurements and grade rules.
• Work independently with factories to resolve construction/sewing problems.
• Communicate daily with vendors and internal teams; track samples and counter samples to meet all approval dates.
