Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred. Applicant must meet all requirements to serve as a substituteteacherin the State of Indiana and obtain any required substituteteachingpermit. Upon offer, the applicant must successfully complete and clear a drug screen and all Indiana background check requirements for school personnel as required by state law.

Job Description:

TheAssociateTeacheris an in-house substituteteacherwho reports to Frankfort High School each day that school is in session. TheAssociateTeacherprovides classroom coverage for absentteachersand may serve in multiple classrooms or content areas throughout the school day. Responsibilities include implementingteacher-provided lesson plans, maintaining a safe and productive learning environment, supervising students, taking attendance, supporting established classroom procedures, and communicating relevant information toteachersand administrators.

When substitute coverage is not needed, theAssociateTeachermay assist with student supervision, academic support, office responsibilities, or other duties assigned by the high school administration.
