Job description

Consello is an Advisory and Investing Platform with offices in New York, Miami, Atlanta, Dublin, Belfast, London, Brussels, and Abu Dhabi. Consello's distinct advisory practices provide the complete strategic counsel today's leaders need to grow and transform their organizations. Consello's advisory expertise spans Corporate Advisory; M&A; Management Consulting; Talent; Risk; and Sports and Entertainment. Dedicated teams operate in each practice, led by a leadership group with deep operational experience across industries, business growth stages and market cycles and with an expansive set of global corporate relationships.

Consello's investment business, Consello Capital, identifies high-potential mid-market companies and invests capital and expertise to transform their growth.

Consello’s Talent team operates as a focused executive search and advisory practice within the broader Consello platform. We partner directly with CEOs, Boards, and senior leaders of Fortune 500 and high-growth companies to drive high-impact leadership decisions, including Board Director placements, C-suite searches, and succession planning.

While the Talent practice spans leadership advisory, assessment, and organizational effectiveness, our core team is concentrated on executive search: identifying, evaluating, and placing transformative leaders across critical roles such as CFO, CMO, Investor Relations, and Board Director.

We combine the agility of a specialized boutique with the resources and relationships of a larger strategic advisory firm. Our work is fast-paced, high-stakes, and deeply collaborative — offering Associates hands-on training, direct exposure to top executives, and meaningful early-career experience helping shape the future of leadership at some of the world’s most influential companies.

Position Overview:

As an Associate on the Talent team, you will support our executive search process, helping the team source, research, and coordinate high-impact placements across critical C-Suite and Board roles. Working closely with senior consultants, you will build your research, analytical, and project management skills while contributing to searches for some of the most recognizable companies in the world. This is a strong opportunity to launch a career in executive search. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, eagerness to learn, and growing fluency with AI, various research tools, PowerPoint, and Excel. The ideal candidate is curious and eager to jump into any project with enthusiasm.

Key Responsibilites:

Search Execution

  • Support the development of position specifications and search strategies alongside senior consultants.
  • Help draft client-facing documents (e.g., candidate reports, search status updates, longlists).
  • Help track and monitor the search process from kickoff through candidate placement.
  • Support due diligence, reference checking, and background research.
  • Leverage AI-enabled research tools and internal knowledge resources to streamline search processes, enhance talent mapping, and identify both obvious and out of the box high-potential candidates more efficiently.

Market & Candidate Research

  • Conduct thorough industry and talent mapping to help identify key players and potential candidates.
  • Use databases (e.g., LinkedIn, internal CRM, external databases) to help build talent pipelines.
  • Assist with analyzing organizational charts and competitive landscapes.
  • Stay current on industry trends, leadership moves, and notable executive shifts.

Candidate Development & Engagement

  • Support candidate outreach and initial screening under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Help assess candidate fit against client specifications (skills, experience, leadership style, culture fit).
  • Coordinate interview scheduling and serve as a point of contact for candidates throughout the process.
  • Support a positive candidate experience with professionalism and discretion.

Project Management & Internal Coordination

  • Coordinate with the team to help manage timelines and deliverables.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in CRM systems.
  • Help prepare materials for internal meetings and client briefings.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and database accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree required, with a preference for Finance, Economics, or Accounting.
  • Professional Experience: 2–3 years in research, consulting, or professional services. Prior exposure to executive search is a plus but not required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Work Ethic: Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with willingness to put in extra hours as needed to meet client needs.
  • Personal Qualities: Curiosity, proactiveness, coachability, and a strong desire to learn.
  • Industry Knowledge: Interest in technology, finance, industrials, or consumer industries is a plus.

Compensation: $100,000 starting base salary, plus annual discretionary bonus.
