Job summary

Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Draper, Utah seeks an Associate, Systems Engineering to help design and evolve the firm’s data infrastructure. You will contribute to datacenter design, networks, storage, and grid compute, and implement public and private cloud solutions for on-demand scaling of applications.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems/Technology, or related field with 1 year of related experience OR Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of related experience.
• Experience with SDLC including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, release and support; knowledge of performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Experience with UNIX-based development and scripting (Shell, Python) and database technologies (DB2 or similar).

Responsibilities

• Develop expertise across engineering domains including datacenter design, networks, storage, and grid compute.
• Design and develop firm's computer and data infrastructure; implement cloud-based solutions for on-demand scaling.
• Create automated testing processes and monitoring tools to ensure reliable operation.
• Apply data mining and machine learning to detect issues and automate fault handling.
• Document recurring errors and support incident reviews with stakeholders; monitor production risk and change management.
