Overview

Responsibilities

  1. Provides basic system engineering support on the use of existing methods and tools. Configures methods and tools within a known context. Creates and updates the documentation of methods and tools.
  2. Uses the tools and techniques for specific areas of release and deployment activities. Administers the recording of activities, logging of results and documents technical activity undertaken.
  3. Exercises judgment within well-defined procedures to solve moderately complex problems with a limited number of variables.
  4. Has a solid foundation of knowledge and skill sets for supported platforms/products and environments.
  5. Focuses primarily on the solution architecture for existing applications.
  6. Has limited project assignments that are small in scope and low in complexity.
  7. Provides exceptional customer service to CommonSpirit Business Stakeholders and other members of CommonSpirit IT.
  8. Participate in minor projects associated with the enhancement, upgrade/patching, or implementation of new or existing software solutions.
  9. Participate in the resolution of technical issues during production cutover activities within the Technology Infrastructure Team.
  10. Remote eligible.

Qualifications

  1. BA or BS in Computer Science, Technology, or Business discipline or equivalent experience is required.
  2. 1-3 years of professional experience in an IT technical or infrastructure field is required.
  3. 1-3 years of professional experience in solution architecture design.
  4. Good analytical and troubleshooting skills desired.
  5. Strong written and oral communication skills desired.
  6. Exercises good judgment to resolve problems, recognized boundaries of current skills and actively (and appropriately) seeks assistance from senior team members as needed.
  7. Ability to multitask in a fast paced work environment.
  8. General knowledge of Microsoft and UNIX operating systems required.
  9. Basic knowledge of storage networks and technologies desired.
  10. Basic knowledge of testing and quality assurance methodologies desired.
  11. Healthcare industry experience is a plus.
  12. Fundamental knowledge of networking and security technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, load balancing/proxies, authentication, single-sign on desired.
  13. Experience with IIS, .Net and PowerShell desired.
