Novo Nordisk in Clayton, NC is seeking a Supply Chain Planner to coordinate logistic flows and optimize production planning within the manufacturing area. You will work with central planning and suppliers to ensure schedules meet demand and inventory targets while applying LEAN principles.

The role requires a bachelor's in a related field and at least 1 year in supply chain activities; strong communication and Excel skills are preferred; travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field, or equivalent combination of education & experience required
• Minimum one year of experience in Supply Chain Management, production planning, material planning, supplier management or related field preferred
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills; good presentation skills preferred
• Computer skills including experience with Microsoft Excel & electronic material management systems preferred
• Familiarity with SAP (APO & ECC) preferred

Responsibilities

• Review, challenge & ensure execution of operational planning in collaboration with central planning functions
• Proactively identify, analyse, & respond to potential issues affecting raw material planning, production planning or supply chain overall
• Collaborate closely with suppliers & internal stakeholders to optimize schedules & production plans
• Support the planned shipment of finished products to external customers according to order dates or inventory policies
• Implement LEAN & flow in the plant, proactively, show a LEAN mindset

The Position

Physical Requirements

Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time (% can change on a case-by-case basis based on the role).
