Job summary

Novo Nordisk in North Carolina seeks a supply chain professional to develop production plans and forecast material needs based on demand, capacity, and lead times. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field
  • 1-5 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management or production planning
  • Excel and electronic material management systems is preferred
  • Familiarity with SAP APO and ECC is preferred
  • Proven process improvement and problem-solving skills
  • Lean manufacturing experience is a plus
  • Ability to develop and manage action plans to achieve targets

Responsibilities

  • Develop and publish production schedules for pharmaceutical manufacturing
  • Complete daily Operations Planning tasks in SAP APO
  • Update data in SAP; ensure master data integrity
  • Establish production plans that meet customer demands and reflect production capabilities
  • Proactively identify and respond to potential issues affecting supply chain
  • Ensure deliveries of finished products to customers according to requirements
  • Maintain and develop department procedures according to cGMPs
  • Improve customer feedback through frequent communication with customers
  • Establish strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Implement LEAN and Flow in the plant
  • Create transparency of the supply chain
  • Perform other duties as assigned

The Position

Develop production plans and forecast material needs based on customer demand, manufacturing capacities and lead times; schedule manufacturing lines.

Relationships

Reports to Supply Chain Manager.

Essential Functions
  • Develop and publish production schedules for pharmaceutical manufacturing
  • Complete daily Operations Planning tasks in SAP APO
  • Update data in SAP; ensure master data integrity
  • Establish production plans that meet customer demands and reflect an understanding of production capabilities
  • Proactively identify and respond to potential issues affecting supply chain
  • Ensure deliveries of finished products to Customers according to requirements
  • Maintain and develop department procedures according to cGMP’s
  • Improve customer feedback through frequent communication with customers
  • Establish strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Implement LEAN and Flow in the plant, proactively, show a LEAN mindset
  • Through high-quality communication create transparency of the supply chain
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements

Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time (% can change on a case-by-case basis based on the role).

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field required; MBA preferred
  • 1-5 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management, production planning, or related field or combination of education and relevant experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; good presentation skills preferred
  • Computer skills including experience with Excel and electronic material management systems preferred
  • Familiarity with SAP (APO and ECC) preferred
  • Proven process improvement and problem-solving skills preferred
  • Experience in lean manufacturing a plus
  • Able to develop and manage action plans to achieve targets required
