Job summary

BETA Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Associate Supplier Development Engineer to support a cross-functional team of Manufacturing Engineers, Procurement, and Design Engineering in Vermont.

You will evaluate supplier capabilities, develop improvement plans, and drive cost and delivery performance across the supply chain for ground support equipment (GSE). Minimum qualifications include 1–3 years of manufacturing experience and a BS in mechanical engineering or manufacturing.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of manufacturing experience.
• BA/BS degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or equivalent years of experience.
• US Person.
• Experience in using Digital Product Definition, 2D drawings, drafting standards, and GD&T.
• Experience working in a Lean/Manufacturing Engineering position.

Responsibilities

• Identify product improvements to improve producibility, lower risk, and reduce costs.
• Act as a technical liaison between purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to provide technical support.
• Assist in driving effective corrective actions to resolve complex manufacturing defects and eliminate root cause.
• Assist in the inspection of parts and assemblies to improve quality delivered by Beta and suppliers.
• Determine and develop quality requirements in alignment to ISO 9001.
• Determine, define, and develop processes to support quality requirements and business needs.
• Conduct supplier assessments to evaluate processes and drive continuous improvement at suppliers.
• Demonstrate innovation, technical excellence, attention to detail, self-direction, and courage.
