BETA Technologies is seeking a skilled Supplier Development Engineer for composites in Vermont. You will drive supplier performance, assess capabilities, and resolve critical issues to ensure on-time production of composite structures.

You will lead root cause analysis, audits, and process improvements while collaborating with engineering, quality, and supply chain. This role requires 5+ years in aerospace supply chains and travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in supplier development or related roles in aerospace or regulated manufacturing.
• Experience leading supplier recovery and cross-functional resolution.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and performance improvement of key composite suppliers.
• Assess supplier capability in composite manufacturing processes and capacity.
• Drive resolution of high-impact quality and delivery issues with recovery plans.
• Lead root cause analysis for composite defects and corrective actions.
• Conduct supplier audits and process reviews for quality systems.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance to improve yield and process control.
• Support supplier readiness for NPI, including qualification and ramp to rate.
• Partner with engineering, quality, and supply chain to manage risk and sourcing.
• Monitor supplier performance and implement improvement actions.
• Escalate critical supplier issues impacting production.
• Prepare updates on supplier risk and performance for leadership.
