Job summary

Michels Power, Inc. is seeking an Associate Construction Project Manager – Substation to support planning, organizing, and implementing substation project management.

This role requires clear communication, the ability to work independently, and collaboration with field crews and engineers on nationwide projects. You will assist with cost tracking, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and documentation while traveling to long-term onsite assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management or related field.
• 0–3 years of related experience (substation/utility construction preferred).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn project cost tracking or estimating tools.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with safety policies.
• Assist Project Manager in managing projects under direct supervision.
• Support development and tracking of project performance metrics, budgets, and cost controls.
• Assist with cost tracking, labor tracking, scheduling, and reporting.
• Coordinate with field crews, subcontractors, engineers, and utility stakeholders.
• Maintain project documentation including cost reporting, billing, scheduling, and budgeting records.
• Support change management, productivity tracking, and project closeout activities.
