Job summary

FCC Inc. in Doniphan, MO, is seeking an Associate Substance Use Disorders Counselor for the SUD Program.

This full-time role provides counseling to individuals with substance use disorders in residential and/or outpatient settings, guiding treatment progress through each phase. The position requires a high school diploma, MAADC I credential within 3 months, progression to MAADC II by year two, and CRADC by year four, with ability to pass exams.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or HiSet required.
• MAADC I credential obtainable within the first three months of employment.
• Must progress to MAADC II by end of year two.
• CRADC certification by end of year four.

Responsibilities

• Provide services within the four performance domains: Screening, Assessment & Engagement; Counseling; Treatment Planning, Collaboration & Referral; Professional, Ethical Responsibilities.
• Provide Individual Counseling, Group Counseling, and Group Education as scheduled.
• Advocate for Person(s) served on a case and community level.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary treatment team staffing meetings.
• Represent the agency in a caring and professional manner.
• Demonstrates unconditional positive regard towards person(s) served.
• Maintains a solution focused attitude.
• Adherence to all applicable evidence-based practice models.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of diagnostic criteria sets for substance use and/or mental disorders.
• Orally communicate information effectively and accurately.
• Assure program operates within the constraints of the agency’s certification (CARF, DMH) standards and strategic plan related to clinical care.
• Abide by program and agency policies and procedures.
• Other job duties and special projects as assigned.

Job Purpose
