Job summary

Olsson is seeking an Associate Structural Engineer to join our industrial team in Dallas. You will work with a seasoned group of engineers to deliver design calculations, construction documents, and coordinated project plans, while growing technical and professional skills.

You’ll engage in field visits, develop detailed 3D models in Revit, and mentor interns, contributing to practical design solutions across diverse industrial sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering with a Structural emphasis.
• Engineer Intern (EI) certificate is required.
• At least one year of engineering experience.
• Experience developing detailed 3D models and construction documentation in Autodesk Revit.
• Familiar with ACAD Software, RISA 3D, EnerCalc, MS Excel, and Hilti/Dewalt design.

Responsibilities

• Design solutions by developing calculations, models, and construction documents to deliver safe, practical industrial facilities.
• Deliver projects by supporting design, coordination, and project documentation for successful outcomes.
• Solve challenges by applying engineering principles and collaborating with experienced engineers.
• Collaborate across teams with engineers, designers, clients, and contractors to advance project goals.
• Grow expertise through hands-on experience with structural analysis, design software, and real-world projects.
• Support quality delivery by preparing calculations, reports, and documentation that meet project requirements.
• Develop others by mentoring interns and sharing technical knowledge.
• Gain field experience through site visits that verify conditions and support design and construction activities.
