Job summary

StoneX Group Inc. offers an onsite entry level role in Birmingham, AL within the Fixed Income Operations team.

You will assist senior members across operational tasks, including setting up accounts, allocating trades, and reconciling transactions, while maintaining attendance and adhering to policies. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in business or finance, Series 99 or willingness to obtain it within six months, and strong analytical and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Series 99, or equivalent (or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment).
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Set up accounts and subaccounts in internal system.
• Allocate trades within Internal System and TOMS.
• Call on and help reconcile failing transactions.
• Assist in general Operations duties within Fixed Income.
• Maintain understanding of team expectations and policies.
• Share responsibility for team phone and email coverage.
• Keep management informed on unusual requests and potential issues.
• Maintain prompt and regular attendance.
• Duties may be expanded to include other responsibilities as needed.

Responsibilities

Job Purpose: The associate is responsible for assisting senior team members across a variety of operational tasks in support of the fixed income group. Attention to detail and the ability to handle duties across multiple systems/platforms is a must. The individual must also be prepared to cross train within other areas to assist when needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field or equivalent work experience
• Previous work experience in securities related field preferred
• Series 99, or equivalent (or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment)
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills with high attention to detail
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task
• Effective communication skills – oral and written, with an emphasis on customer service
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including, but not limited to Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Ability to take direction, work independently and within a team environment
• Adaptable to change in a highly regulated industry

This onsite entry level role in Birmingham, AL offers compensation typical for entry-level financial services positions in the region.

Relocation will not be provided for this position.

Hiring Salary Range $40,000-$65,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity and alignment with market data.) Subject to business performance and recommendations of management, this role may be eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan. This compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
