Job summary

Sciton, a Silicon Valley pioneer in laser, light, and energy technologies for aesthetic and medical applications, seeks an Associate Software V&V Engineer in Palo Alto, CA. You will assist with software quality assurance for new product development and product maintenance in R&D, ensuring verification and validation prior to shipment.

You will support software quality processes, perform risk analysis, maintain requirements traceability, defect tracking, and configuration management, and help

Qualifications

• BS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in software quality assurance or software validation, preferably in an FDA-regulated environment.
• Strong technical writing, interpersonal communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with medical device development processes and IEC 62304 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, extend, and execute test plans and protocols for Sciton’s medical devices and write reports.
• Identify and correct defects with the software team.
• Perform risk analysis on software requirements and changes.
• Communicate significant issues and recommend process improvements.
• Support software quality processes, including requirements traceability, defect tracking, and configuration management.
