Job summary

Sciton, a Silicon Valley pioneer in laser and energy technologies, is seeking an Optics and Computer Vision (Systems) Engineer in Palo Alto to advance medical and aesthetic products. You will be embedded with both R&D and software teams to bring vision-based technologies from concept to production.

Qualifications

• Masters/PhD in a relevant field with strong imaging and CV.
• Experience delivering high-quality optical images for sub-systems and users.
• Hands-on, systems-oriented experience creating and refining algorithms for medical skin imaging and treatment control.

Responsibilities

• Develop optical and real-time computer vision systems for medical skin imaging.
• Select camera & illumination hardware to optimize image quality.
• Implement image registration, segmentation and feature extraction.
• Integrate vision processing to control peripheral devices with low latency.
• Lead end-to-end calibration workflows and validations across pipelines.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, and clinical teams for NPI.
