Thrivent invites software developer interns to join a 12-week summer program designed for college students pursuing computer science and related degrees. You will work on creative technical solutions, gain exposure to multiple business areas, and participate in full-time hours remotely within the United States.

Qualifications

• Sophomore standing in an undergraduate program (Dec 2028–May 2029 graduation) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, CIS or MIS.
• GPA 3.0+ required.

• Apply planning, analysis, detailed design, coding, and testing to support implementation across platforms.
• Learn Thrivent’s processes and standards for development and deployment of software applications.
• Perform day-to-day maintenance and troubleshooting of software assets under supervision.

Position Requirements

• Current Sophomore (Dec. 2028 through May 2029 graduation date) in an undergraduate degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, CIS, or MIS

• A proven history of excellent academic performance (GPA 3.0+)

• Disciplined, with strong personal management and organization skills

• High technical aptitude

• Strong problem identification and analytical skills

• Well-developed written and oral communication skills

• A proven teammate with high technical capability

• Open to intern full-time during normal business hours

• Ability to work in the United States for indefinite period without sponsorship
