Job summary

Eaton Corporation in Jackson, MS, is seeking an Associate Shipping Analyst to support Shipping and Receiving by coordinating shipments and handling all required shipping documentation. Eaton's IS AER FMC division is currently seeking anAssociate Shipping Analyst. This position will be onsite in Jackson, MS.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $56000- $83000a year.

What you’ll do:

This role supports the Shipping and Receiving departments by coordinating the shipment and receipt of materials and products and completing all required shipping documentation.

Job Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and process all shipping orders in a timely fashion to assure prompt delivery of merchandise to customers and inter-company locations.
• Prepare and/or participate in the preparation, distribution or recording of shipping forms, documents and export declarations, and M.A. Customs forms.
• Determine freight routing and method of shipment, considering weight and type of product, routes available, cost, pick-up and delivery schedules, etc. Contact selected freight line to assure timely pick-up and delivery.
• Review completed paperwork against packaged material to assure freight consolidations and to verify accuracy of packaging, stenciling, document preparation, etc. Release shipments to comply with delivery schedules.
• Follow-up on complaints regarding delayed or lost shipments and initiate tracing as required.
• Expedite delivery of critical or delayed material by determining fastest route. Recognizing or reroute merchandise to ensure prompt delivery.
• Keep and maintain all records. Assist Receiving Department with troubleshooting incoming orders and receiving memo items.

Qualifications:

Required Basic Qualifications:

• Associate Degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in Supply Chain or Manufacturing.
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or Business an accredited institution.
• Two (2) years of experience in material planning and control in Supply Chain/Manufacturing.
• One (1) year of experience working with SAP/ERP systems.
• Proficient in MS Excel.

Technical Knowledge & Soft Skills:

• Computer skills and procedures gained in general activity, complete knowledge of Company shipping procedures.
• Courtesy and tact in dealing with Company personnel and representatives, of freight companies, generally involving information gathering and/or disseminating.
• Ability to process and review shipping forms and documents for discrepancies.
