Job summary

Lucid Motors USA, Inc. is seeking an Associate Service Technician at our Mission Viejo service center. You will perform Pre-Delivery Inspections, detailing, test drives, and basic repairs on Lucid vehicles before customers take delivery.

As part of the role, you will document vehicle interactions, perform software updates, and collaborate with the service team to ensure exceptional customer experiences. ASE certifications are encouraged within 6–8 months of hire, with reimbursement of costs.

• Willingness to complete Lucid CPR training post hire.
• Ability to learn proprietary DMS software and basic office tools.

All employees will be trained at and report to our Costa Mesa Service center until the new site opens in Mission Viejo.

As anAssociate Service Technician, you will focus on performing Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI), detail services, test drives, and basic repairs on Lucid vehicles before customers take delivery. You will demonstrate your passion for sustainable transportation and creatively solve problems in a fast-paced environment. As an Associate Service Technician, it is expected to have ASE certifications obtained within 6-8 months of hire date. Lucid will reimburse the cost associated with successful completion.

Responsibilities

• Basic repairs on Lucid vehicles including but not limited to - remove and replace parts, body adjustments, tire and wheel exchanges, functionality testing, test driving, and work order administration on vehicles for delivery, etc.
• Effectively work with the appropriate software suite to properly and completely document all vehicle interactions.
• Perform software updates as needed on cars in the process of inspection.
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with other members of the service team (i.e., advisor, manager, etc.) as well as customers.
• Learn High/Low Voltage systems
• Demonstrate attention to detail and passion for creating positive client experiences
• Ability to work remotely and support mobile service team as needed, travel may be needed
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age or older
• Able to learn the High/Low Voltage process
• Customer facing experience exhibiting excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to use basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office as well as learn proprietary DMS software
• Willingness to complete Lucid provided CPR training post hire
• Valid driver’s license with no suspensions within the past year. Drivers under 21 must have maintained a Driver’s License for a minimum of 3 years and successfully complete Lucid Training upon hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in automobile repair environments
• Prior experience with Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI)
• Previous experience with EV diagnosis and repair
• Basic electronic principles
• Willingness to obtain ASE Certification per Lucid’s Career Framework and additional required licenses (A4, A5, A6, A7)
• EPA 609 Certification(willing to obtain upon hire)

Pay Range: 28-34/hr

Compensation Range

The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.

Base Pay Range (hourly)

$31 — $43 USD

Lucid offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance; life and disability coverage; paid time off; paid holidays, paid sick leave; and a401(k) retirementplan. Hourly/non-exempt employees accrue up to 120 hours paid time off, and salaried/exempt employee accrue up to 160 hours paid time off.Eligible employees may also participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual cash incentive program. Incentive and equity awards, if applicable, are determined based on individual performance, role scope, market considerations, and overall company results, in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
