Job summary

Lucid Motors is seeking an Associate Service Technician in Dallas, TX to perform Pre-Delivery Inspections, detailing, test drives, and basic repairs on Lucid vehicles before customer delivery.

You will work with our service team, document interactions, and learn High/Low Voltage systems while pursuing ASE certifications. Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to obtain CPR training after hire.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age or older.
• 1-3 years experience in automobile repair environments.
• Able to learn the High/Low Voltage process.
• Customer facing experience with strong written/verbal communication.
• Able to use MS Office and learn proprietary DMS software.
• Willingness to complete CPR training post hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic repairs on Lucid vehicles including parts replacement, body adjustments, tire/wheel exchanges, testing, and work order documentation for delivery.
• Document vehicle interactions using appropriate software.
• Perform software updates on vehicles under inspection.
• Communicate and collaborate with service team and customers.
• Learn High/Low Voltage systems and demonstrate attention to detail.

As an Associate Service Technician, you will focus on performing Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI), detail services, test drives, and basic repairs on Lucid vehicles before customers take delivery. You will demonstrate your passion for sustainable transportation and creatively solve problems in a fast-paced environment. As an Associate Service Technician, it is expected to have ASE certifications obtained within 6-8 months of hire date. Lucid will reimburse the cost associated with successful completion.

Responsibilities

• Basic repairs on Lucid vehicles including but not limited to - remove and replace parts, body adjustments, tire and wheel exchanges, functionality testing, test driving, and work order administration on vehicles for delivery, etc.
• Effectively work with the appropriate software suite to properly and completely document all vehicle interactions.
• Perform software updates as needed on cars in the process of inspection.
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with other members of the service team (i.e., advisor, manager, etc.) as well as customers.
• Learn High/Low Voltage systems
• Demonstrate attention to detail and passion for creating positive client experiences
• Ability to work remotely and support mobile service team as needed, travel may be needed
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age or older
• 1-3 years experience in automobile repair environments
• Able to learn the High/Low Voltage process
• Customer facing experience exhibiting excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to use basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office as well as learn proprietary DMS software
• Willingness to complete Lucid provided CPR training post hire
• Valid driver’s license with no suspensions within the past year. Drivers under 21 must have maintained a Driver’s License for a minimum of 3 years and successfully complete Lucid Training upon hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI)
• Previous experience with EV diagnosis and repair
• Basic electronic principles
• Willingness to obtain ASE Certification per Lucid’s Career Framework and additional required licenses (A4, A5, A6, A7)
• EPA 609 Certification (willing to obtain upon hire)

Compensation & Benefits:

Hourly/non-exempt employees accrue up to 120 hours paid time off, and salaried/exempt employee accrue up to 160 hours paid time off.
