Job summary

Lactalis USA in Buffalo, NY is hiring an Associate Sensory Scientist to support and maintain the Passion for Taste program. You will assist sensory panels, implement trained factory panels, and support R&D and QA with product evaluations.

The role involves traveling to plants, coordinating weekly sessions, and producing technical reports under Lactalis guidelines. Strong statistics knowledge and dairy science background are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years job related experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science or related field with education in Sensory Evaluation, Dairy Technology and Statistics.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the Sensory Experts Panels on a weekly basis and prepare technical reports.
• Support training for various dairy products with the Sensory Expert Panels and propose action plans.
• Evaluate panel performance and assist recruitment of new panelists.
• Prepare monthly technical reports of pillar product performance for Lactalis Global QA and internal teams.
• Provide support to manufacturing plants to implement and maintain Factory Sensory Panels and SOPs.
