Interface Engineering, Inc. is seeking an Associate/Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (MEP) for a hybrid role in New York City, NY.

The position builds and leads local MEP design teams and manages a portfolio of architects and owners, focusing on HVAC system design, engineering, and efficiency. The role demands 7+ years in MEP design/consulting, strong leadership, PM skills, and excellent client service with solid communication and knowledge of building codes.

Qualifications

• BSME degree required.
• 7+ years' experience in MEP design/consulting.
• Team leadership/management experience.
• PM experience in the MEP space.
• High-energy client services skills.

• Thorough design system knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead local MEP design teams.
• Develop and maintain local client base (architects and owners).
• HVAC system selection, engineering and design.
• Project management of multi-discipline MEP teams.
• Prepare HVAC drawings, analyses, specifications, and calculations.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills.
• Provide oversight of HVAC staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and lead local MEP design teams.
• Develop and maintain a book of local clients (architects and owners). HVAC system selection, engineering & design.
• Project Management of multi-discipline MEP design consulting teams

What You’ll Bring:

• BSME
• 7+ years' experience in MEP design/consulting
• Team leadership/management experience
• Project Management Experience in the MEP space

• Excellent communication ability
• Complete understanding of building codes
• Thorough design system knowledge

Preferred

• A Professional Engineering License (or equivalent experience)
• LEED Accreditation
• Working IES-VE Knowledge
