Job summary

Experis Technology Group is seeking an Associate Scientist I in Columbus, OH for a 12‑month, 100% onsite assignment. The role focuses on sensory testing, data collection, and panel management within a lab environment.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in sensory science or related fields, a bachelor’s degree, and strong communication and attention to detail. Familiarity with sensory methods is preferred, with Compusense experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food science, Psychology, Sensory science, biology or Chemistry with 1-2 years of experience.
• Experience working in lab environments and sensory testing.
• Strong attention to detail and effective written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Support sensory testing and product evaluation.
• Prepare and manage sensory panels, handle samples, and maintain lab organization.
• Assist in designing and executing sensory studies using basic principles and experimental design.

Job Title: Associate Scientist I

Duration: 12 months

Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite

Pay Range: $20- $23 per hour (W2)

We are seeking a “Associate Scientist I” to join one of our leading healthcare clients.

Description:

Main Responsibilities:

• Sensory Scientist with 1-2 years of experience to support sensory testing and product evaluation.
• This role involves preparing and managing sensory panels, handling and presenting samples, and maintaining lab organization.
• The candidate will assist in designing and executing sensory studies using basic scientific principles and experimental design.
• Responsibilities also include collecting and organizing data, supporting analysis, and ensuring tests are conducted accurately and consistently.

Skills:

• Worked in Lab environments.
• Background in food science, psychology, Sensory science or related field- Biology or chemistry (scientific principles) is preferred.
• Strong attention to details
• Strong communication both verbal and written.
• Familiarity with sensory methods and lab environments
• Experience with Compusense software is a plus

Education:

• Bachelors degree in any field related to Food science, Psychology, Sensory science, biology, Chemistry. Additional: Looking for 1-2 years experience
