Job summary

UCB is seeking a lab-based scientist to support early research at our Boston R&D Hub in Cambridge, MA. The role focuses on executing assays for identification of small molecules and validating novel biological targets.

You will work in a multidisciplinary team, develop and optimize assays, generate cell models, and contribute to drug project milestones. This position requires hands-on cell and molecular biology experience and clear communication.

Qualifications

• BS with 4–6 years or MS with 2–4 years of relevant research experience.
• Hands-on experience with cellular and biochemical assays to identify novel molecular entities.
• Directly perform cell culture and molecular biology techniques on human cell lines.
• Strong communication and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Develop, troubleshoot, and validate new assays for small molecule identification.
• Generate cell models to mimic disease biology for screening.
• Ensure milestones and objectives are met within drug projects.
• Plan, optimize, and execute projects in a team setting.
