Job description

We are excited to announce our partnership with a leading orthopedic company. Currently, we are seeking Associate Sales Consultants to join our team of field employees.

Associate Sales Consultant – Medical Device

If you are interested in surgical procedures or a career in medical device sales, this role is ideal. Our ASC team supports sales in Trauma, Spine, Joint Reconstruction, or Sports Medicine, training on devices used in orthopedic surgeries such as ankle replacements, trauma surgeries, spine surgeries, and more. This position offers a unique opportunity to learn about the medical device industry and develop your skills for a future in this field.

The main responsibilities include providing clinical support and sales assistance in hospitals, ensuring excellent customer service, managing sales logistics, and maintaining product knowledge. You will support sales goals, assist in case coverage, and handle billing and purchase orders.

Position Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Support the sales team in maintaining and expanding customer relationships, achieving sales goals, and improving market share within your territory.
  2. Assist surgeons during procedures by sharing product knowledge and ensuring proper device utilization.
  3. Attend surgeries to support equipment needs and optimize trays.
  4. Provide technical assistance, handle customer requests, and manage hospital billing and purchase orders.
  5. Share insights with sales and marketing teams to enhance solutions and service levels. Prepare necessary reports and documentation.
  6. Consult on operating room and sterile processing department procedures.
  7. Maintain and deploy equipment and promotional materials, ensuring high standards of service quality.
  8. Adhere to all applicable laws, policies, and maintain professionalism, ethics, and compliance.
  9. Analyze product performance and gather insights to optimize product use and environment.
  10. Focus on customer satisfaction and retention by highlighting the value proposition and differentiating our products from competitors.
  11. Support the launch and implementation of new products and solutions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, or
  • Associate’s Degree + 4 years relevant experience in orthopedic sales or related clinical/surgical fields, or
  • 8 years of relevant experience, or
  • Certification as a Surgical Technician or similar medical training with 7+ years of experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Results-driven with a sense of urgency.
  • Customer-focused, able to work independently and in teams.
  • High attention to detail and ability to operate in complex environments.
  • Knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, and human anatomy preferred.
  • Ability to work in clinical settings near radiation, lift up to 50 lbs, and wear protective gear.

The potential base salary for this role ranges from $60,000 to $70,000 annually, depending on qualifications, location, and schedule. Additional incentives, bonuses, and benefits may apply.
