The Division of Infectious Diseases and Uhlemann Lab is seeking a highly motivated associate research scientist (PhD or MD/PhD) to study microbiome, comparative genomics, and microbial resistance. Projects include providing support to the Microbiome Core in the Department of Medicine. The selected candidate is expected to take a lead role in projects, support grant applications and manuscripts, and contribute to supervising students and staff. We seek an energetic, inquisitive scientist who will work in a highly collaborative environment and demonstrates critical thinking and scientific rigor. The laboratory is located in the Division of Infectious Diseases at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, providing access to world-class resources and a highly collaborative, enriching scientific environment.
