Immediate opening for an Associate Research Scientist with Professor Marianna Maiaru at The Fu Foundation School of Engineering & Applied Science, Department of Civil Engineering & Engineering Mechanics. Working under the Principal Investigator for the ICME: Optimization of Advanced Components of the Aurora D8 project, the successful candidate will conduct cutting-edge research in ICME, computational and experimental mechanics for composite structures. Responsibilities include:
Qualifications include a PhD in Aerospace, Mechanical, Computational Engineering, or a related field, with at least one year of postdoctoral research experience. Candidates should have knowledge of computational mechanics, experimental mechanics, and computational micromechanics, and programming skills in Fortran, Python, and Matlab.
This position is funded by ICME: Optimization of Advanced Components of the Aurora D8 and PI startup funds. The appointment duration depends on performance and funding availability.
