Job summary

CSS is seeking an Associate Representative – Inside Sales to work on-site with customers, supporting them in person and via phone and email. You will grow sales with existing customers and collaborate with outside sales to achieve goals.

You will address customer needs, build on-site relationships, and provide timely quotes. A base salary with commission emphasizes performance, with travel up to 25% as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record.
• High School Degree or Equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office and able to perform basic computer tasks.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and work in a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; attention to detail.
• Willingness to operate warehouse equipment and travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Obtain orders through email and telephone calls, verify items, enter them, and transfer orders to fulfillment.
• Increase orders by suggesting related items and referencing customer history.
• Own, qualify and develop opportunities from marketing, outside sales, and national accounts with guidance.
• Prepare and follow up on verbal or written quotations to secure orders or determine reasons for loss of order.
• Review open customer order reports and act on at‑risk items to meet delivery promises.
• Maintain backorder and expediting reports and notify customers accordingly.
• Report industry trends, competitive pricing and customer feedback to management.

As an Associate Representative – Inside Sales, you will work directly with a customer on-site, supporting and collaborating with them in person as well as through phone and email. In this role, you will engage with existing customers to grow sales of the Company’s products and services while enhancing customer satisfaction and adding value to the overall buying experience. You will build strong on-site relationships, proactively address customer needs, and serve as a trusted point of contact. You will also partner closely with outside sales teams to ensure alignment and the successful achievement of sales goals.

Responsibilities:

• Obtainordersthroughemailandtelephonecalls, verifies and enters items, transfers orders to fulfillment, explains stock-outs and expected delivery dates.
• Increase orders by suggesting related items, explaining features, and checks customer’s buying history.
• With guidance, owns, qualifies and develops opportunities passed from marketing, outside sales, and national accounts.
• Prepare, generate, and follow up on verbal or written quotations to secure orders, or determine reason for loss of order.
• Review open customer order reports and act on open items, including those items that may be at risk in meeting customer’s promised delivery date.
• Maintain distribution system backorder report, associated customer expediting report and notices, and customer notification.
• Report industry trends, competitive pricing and customer feedback to management.

Qualifications:

• Valid Driver’s License, with a satisfactory driving record required
• High School Degree or Equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Preferred knowledge and experience in sales and sales administration; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills, however still a productive professional contributor (0-2 years).
• Familiar with Microsoft Office, and ability to perform basic computer skills
• Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
