Job summary

Chicago State University seeks an Associate Provost of Contract Administration and Academic Services to serve as the Provost’s senior advisor on faculty affairs and academic personnel policies. This role leads contract administration, labor relations, and implementation of faculty policies across divisions.

Reporting to the Provost, the incumbent will guide deans and chairs, coordinate with HR and Legal Affairs, and ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements while advancing shared

Qualifications

• Doctorate or terminal degree from an accredited institution.
• Tenured professor status with leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Provost’s designee and principal adviser on faculty affairs and contract administration.
• Represent the Provost in collective bargaining activities and collaborate with Legal Affairs and HR on labor relations.
• Provide guidance to deans and faculty on academic personnel actions including appointments, reappointments, promotion, tenure, and evaluation.
• Lead administration of faculty policies and practices per agreements, policies, and regulations.
• Oversee faculty grievance processes to ensure due process and adherence to contract obligations.
