Job summary

Cinterra is seeking an Associate Project Manager to join its Project Management office. This entry-level role focuses on assisting the Project Manager and learning the processes for safety, contract, schedule, and budget management on utility-scale solar projects.

Ideal candidates have a renewable energy or PM-related degree or relevant solar experience, strong communication, and a readiness to travel and work long hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in renewable energy, PM, engineering, or construction management.
• Alternatively, HS diploma with 2 years solar construction experience.
• Recent graduate or 2+ years solar construction experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience with scheduling software like MS-Project or Primavera.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• OSHA familiarity; NFPA 70E preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Willing to travel and work long hours, including weekends.
• Collaborative work style and results-driven approach.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate safety as a core value and support safety program.
• Assist Project Manager with project execution plans.
• Support weekly customer project team check-ins from handover to construction.
• Assist with site mobilizations planning and de-mobilizations.
• Review contracts and scope of work.
• Submit contract deliverables on time and track approvals.
• Prepare change orders.
• Review variances and cost-to-complete.
• Support schedule reviews and milestone tracking.
• Assist in recovery schedules as needed.
• Prepare weekly project forecast.
• Develop risk mitigation plans.
• Attend meetings, take minutes, and prepare summaries.
• Maintain accurate project records.
• Data entry and development of tracking/reporting tools.
• Provide support to other divisions.
• Handle special assignments as requested.
