Mesa Associates, Inc. seeks an Associate Project Manager I to lead full lifecycle utility projects, coordinating across engineering, construction, operations, procurement, and vendors.

You will ensure on-time delivery, budget compliance, and safety adherence while engaging clients and internal teams for successful outcomes. Responsibilities include monitoring performance metrics, mitigating risks, and maintaining clear communications with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform a broad range of project management responsibilities.
• Lead cross-functional teams and drive project success.
• Understand project lifecycle, scheduling, budgeting, and reporting.
• Excellent verbal and written communications; interface with clients, vendors, engineers and colleagues.
• Familiarity with scheduling and reporting tools in project management.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and work in a team.
• Willingness to develop and comply with Mesa safety requirements.
• Follows through on commitments and leads by example.
• Good listening skills; proactive and multitasks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with engineering, construction, operations, procurement, and external vendors.
• Monitor project performance metrics including earned value, cost variance, and schedule adherence.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and resolve technical/logistical challenges.
• Communicate with clients and stakeholders on updates and concerns.
• Promote Mesa capabilities to assigned customers and identify new project opportunities.
• Prepare meeting agendas, document minutes, and track action items.
• Update project management systems with task status, resources, and milestones.
• Participate in kickoff, status, and closeout meetings; communicate risks and issues.
