Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Associate Project Manager to support Project Managers by reviewing specifications, developing and maintaining schedules, coordinating needs with the project team, and tracking resources and costs to keep projects on time and within budget. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and a valid driver's license.

MS Project experience is preferred; you must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle program.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing project specifications, drawings, and project-specific documents to establish project intent.
  • Developing and maintaining a project schedule and coordinate needs with the project team, identifying time-sensitive installation requirements.
  • Managing the requisition of supplies and materials to complete projects.
  • Reviewing plans and specifications and participate in project cost reviews.
  • Contracting of subcontractors.
  • Tracking resources and project progress.
  • Documenting project events that impact the schedule, scope of work, and project efficiency.
  • Creating project-specific change-order opportunities.
  • Project-specific billing, collaborating with the Project Manager.
  • Project-specific close-out documentation.
  • Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures, and report unsafe conditions and actions.

As the Associate Project Manager, you will assist Project Managers with:

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle program

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Microsoft Project experience strongly preferred
  • Associate or Bachelor of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree
  • 3+ years of technical experience in the low voltage controls industry (HVAC and Fire Alarm systems)
