Job summary

ArchKey Solutions is seeking an Associate Project Manager, Technologies for a national travel-based position. The role supports field staff and project managers across electrical, technology and specialty systems installations.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree or related experience and 0–1 year in PM/construction. Willingness to travel and carry out site inspections is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in project management, construction management or related field; bachelor’s preferred.
• 0–1 year of construction or project management experience; familiarity with estimating systems helpful.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, costing, scheduling and safety standards preferred.
• PM training and understanding of project life cycle required.
• Ability to read and interpret contracts, plans, drawings and specifications; strong math skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate field staff and assist PMs to manage scope, schedule, cost and safety.
• Prepare documentation for project commissioning and closeout activities.
• Support budget tracking, billing, labor estimates and status reporting.
• Assist with preconstruction planning and constructability reviews.
• Conduct site inspections and capture progress photographs weekly.

About The Position

Responsible to coordinate field staff and assist project managers in managing all construction processes to ensure project quality, schedule, cost control, safety and customer satisfaction objectives are met or exceeded, in alignment with all Company policies, procedures, key objectives and regulations. This position assembles, organizes, and maintains all documentation needed for timely project commissioning and closeout activities.

Day in the Life

• Reviews plans and specifications to understand project scope and milestones. Prepares drawings and sketches, change orders, estimates, RFIs, material and labor cost codes, etc. to support technologies construction project work.
• Assists project managers with budget tracking, customer billing, labor estimates, scheduling, job cost reviews, purchase orders, project status reports, and tracking of inspections, testing, and reporting. Participates in project status meetings and assists in developing meeting minutes for distribution.
• Coordinates preconstruction activities as needed, such as construction planning and design, interpretation of design and drawings, projections, preparation of takeoffs, application of construction methods and bid packages. Researches and recommends resolutions to drawing interpretation and other problems, conflicts and errors discovered. Assists with constructability reviews and value engineering functions.
• Conducts jobsite inspections of first work in place to assure accurate placement and conformance with the contract documents and the Company’s project quality assurance standards. Takes weekly job site photographs capturing the construction progress and records.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent work experience in project management, construction management or a related field. Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 0-1 year of construction and/or project management experience. Familiarity with computerized estimating systems preferred.
• Knowledge of construction methods and materials, costing, scheduling, and estimating and general industry safety standards, procedures and regulations preferred.
• Project management training, experience, and skills. Understanding of the project life cycle.
• Skills to read, interpret and understand contracts, plans, drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Strong analytical and mathematical skills.

Travel

• Travelto project sites is REQUIRED,which may include temporary relocation for the duration of the project.
