Job summary

Spectraforce is seeking a contractor Project Manager to drive Workday implementations and related HR initiatives remotely across the United States. The role demands 6+ years of PM experience, with hands-on Workday, Agile delivery, and strong MS Project/Office skills.

Responsibilities include overseeing multiple workstreams, governance, executive reporting, risk mitigation, readiness testing, and go-live planning for a major program launch in early 2027. Bachelor’s degree required.

Job description

Location: Remote, 8-5PM EST (regardless of time zone the candidate lives)

Duration: 12 Months

Candidate Requirements

• Must-have skills :Experience with Workday implementations, especially in:
• HCM

• MS Project: Intermediate to Advanced proficiency required.
• Excel

• Soft Skills:Experience managing large, complex projects and/or transformational programs.
• Proven ability to manage integrated project plans, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Strong risk, issue, action, and decision management experience.
• Experience with governance, executive reporting, and stakeholder communications.
• Ability to proactively identify delivery risks and drive mitigation actions.
• Day to day responsibilities: This contractor will support HCM, Payroll, Compensation, and Talent Management initiatives, managing one or more workstreams depending on business needs.
• This role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who can operate effectively in a fast-paced environment and seamlessly transition between functional areas.
• The successful candidate will be able to quickly come up to speed, establish key stakeholder relationships, and drive project execution in preparation for a major program launch in early 2027.

• Support readiness, testing, and go-live planning activities.
• Present status updates during team forums and larger program meetings, including broad audience calls.
• Degrees or certifications required/or in lieu of a degree how many years of overall experience requiredBachelor’s degree or higher and 6+ years of relevant project management experience OR
• High school diploma/GED and 9+ years of related experience leading projects and project delivery
• Preferred QualificationsPMP certification preferred
• PMI-based project delivery training/certification is a plus
