Job summary

Performance Contracting Group is seeking an entry-level Associate Project Engineer for its PCI Dallas operations based in Midlothian, TX. This role serves as a launching pad for future leaders in project management and estimating, offering hands-on experience in a dynamic, employee-owned environment.

Responsibilities include safety meetings, punch list management, RFI/submittal preparation, QA/QC support, and coordination of schedules, materials, and warranties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in CM/Construction Eng.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Willing to travel/relocate based on project needs.
• Safety-sensitive position.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety meetings and coordinate safety practices.
• Create and manage punch lists on active projects.
• Support QA/QC measures per PCI program.
• Prepare RFIs and submittals.
• Manage labor control on projects, including setup and maintenance.
• Perform quantitative takeoffs for material ordering.
• Support the job schedule implementation.
• Coordinate warranties and O&M activities.
• Coordinate material with purchase orders and invoicing.

Performance Contracting is seeking a motivated individual to join our growing employee-owned organization as an entry-level Associate Project Engineer for its PCI Dallas 114 operations based in Midlothian, TX.

The Associate Project Engineer role serves as a launching pad for future leaders within PCI. It's a dynamic position offering hands‑on experience in project management and estimating, setting the stage for professional growth and career advancement in an innovative environment.

Job responsibilities include:

• Conducting safety meetings
• Creating and managing punch lists
• Supporting the Quality Control Measures outlined in PCI's QA/QC program
• Preparing RFI's and submittals
• Labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance
• Quantitative takeoffs for material ordering
• Supporting the implementation of the job schedule
• Coordinating warranties and O&M's
• Material coordination with purchase orders and invoicing

This position is safety-sensitive.

Basic Requirements

• Must have a bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Construction Science, or comparable work experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g., Excel, Word, etc.)

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to learn new skills by engaging in technical job functions and applying new skills as they are taught
