Job summary

HITT Contracting Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Accounting Associate to join our team. This role focuses on hands-on job cost accounting across multiple projects, subcontractor AP processing, client invoicing, and budgeting.

You will work with the Project Management team to ensure direction and support, and help enforce accounting policies. A bachelor's degree or equivalent and 2-5 years in construction accounting are required; competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• 2–5 years construction or project-related accounting experience.
• Self-starter, highly motivated, and able to work independently.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; ERP exposure; JD Edwards a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and disciplined.
• Friendly, courteous, and positive in nature.

Job Description:

HITT is looking for an experienced Project Accounting Associate to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a strong individual to contribute in a key role within our accounting team.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for hands-on job cost accounting for multiple projects to include Subcontractor AP processing, Client invoicing, and budgeting

• Maintain detailed knowledge of all costs related to each project

• Actively involved with Project Management team to ensure they get the direction/support needed

In accordance with Virginia Senate Bill 215 (SB 215), the base salary range for this position is:

$67,000.00 - $87,000.00

Compensation in other cities and states may vary. HITT Contracting offers a competitive total benefits and compensation package including performance-based bonuses, premium health care coverage including vision and dental, employer-matched 401(k), wellness reimbursement program, paid holidays and time-off, and other voluntary benefits and leave types. The determination of salary is based on the candidate’s individual professional experience, qualifications, education, skills, and training.
