Job summary

Ardmore Roderick seeks an Associate Project Accountant for our Chicago office to drive project accounting from setup to reporting. This position may fit a partly hybrid model depending on client and project needs.

Qualifications include a accounting degree, 0–2 years of experience, GAAP knowledge, strong analytical and organizational skills, and proficiency in MS Office; teamwork and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• 0-2 years of experience in an accounting centric role.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Strong analytical skills and problem solving.
• Have good to great organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and programs.
• Have a team player mindset with the ability to communicate proficiently in written and verbal forms.

Responsibilities

• Project set up and maintenance (rate table, budgets, contract management).
• Ensure all invoices are recorded properly and timely to the correct projects, cost reports, and phase codes.
• Process AP vouchers.
• Assist with AR cash collection.
• Create accurate and timely project reporting.
• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
• Cost Analysis and Cost control (ownership and initiative for work performed).
