Job summary

Adventist Health White Memorial seeks a dynamic leader to serve as Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency Program. The role involves shaping the curriculum, mentoring residents, and ensuring accreditation compliance within a mission-driven, community-based education setting.

The ideal candidate will have completed an Internal Medicine residency, hold or be eligible for a California medical license, and maintain ABIM/ABOM certification.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be able to obtain a valid and unrestricted medical license from California
• Shall have completed an accredited Internal Medicine residency program
• ABIM or ABOIM certification (or maintenance) is required

Responsibilities

• Ensure continuing accreditation of the program per ACGME requirements and AH GME policies
• Develop and improve an Internal Medicine curriculum meeting multiple standards and milestones
• Mentor teaching faculty and monitor appointments, performance reviews, and professional development
• Recruit, retain, and promote a diverse, high-caliber resident body aligned with community served
• Foster a safe learning environment for residents to raise concerns and provide feedback
• Manage residency budget and understand GME funding sources
