Job summary

Adventist Health White Memorial seeks an experienced Program Director to lead its Internal Medicine Residency Program. The role centers on educational leadership, accreditation compliance, and curriculum enhancement to achieve high board pass rates.

The candidate will mentor faculty, oversee resident education, and drive recruitment of a diverse, high-caliber resident cohort while maintaining a supportive learning environment and sustainable budget management.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be able to obtain a California medical license.
• Complete an accredited Internal Medicine residency.
• Board certification with ABIM or ABOM eligible/boarded.
• 3–5 years in Internal Medicine education or administration, preferably as director-level.

Responsibilities

• Lead residency education and ensure alignment with program mission.
• Ensure continuous accreditation by complying with ACGME requirements and AHGME policies.
• Develop and improve a high-quality Internal Medicine curriculum with board pass goals.
• Mentor faculty, perform annual reviews, and implement development programs.
• Recruit and retain a diverse, high-caliber resident body.
• Foster a psychologically safe learning environment and manage budget resources.
