Responsibilities

• Sustain a significant research agenda that leads to peer-reviewed publications and demonstrates leadership and impact in the field.
• Teach and provide leadership in the M.A. in Technical Communication Program and in growing undergraduate technical communication offerings.
• Participate in continued development of graduate and undergraduate programs in technical communication; mentor junior faculty.
• Take on leadership roles on college and university-level committees and perform appropriate administrative responsibilities.
• Adhere to a typical teaching load (3/3) with opportunities for course load reduction across face-to-face, hybrid, and online modalities.

The successful candidate will be expected to sustain a significant, ongoing research agenda commensurate with their appointed rank that leads to peer-reviewed publication and demonstrates leadership and impact in the field. The candidate will also teach and provide leadership in the M.A. in Technical Communication Program and in our growing undergraduate technical communication offerings. Additional duties include significant participation in the continued development of graduate and undergraduate programs in technical communication, mentorship of junior faculty, leadership on college and university-level committees, and appropriate administrative and programmatic responsibilities. The typical teaching load for faculty is 3/3 with some opportunities for course load reduction. Course offerings typically include a mixture of face-to-face, hybrid, and online modalities.
