The successful candidate will be expected to sustain a significant, ongoing research agenda leading to peer-reviewed publication in the field of technical communication. The candidate will also teach in the M.A. in Technical Communication Program and in our growing undergraduate technical communication offerings. Additional duties include significant participation in, and contributions to the continued development of, graduate and undergraduate programs in technical communication.
The typical teaching load for assistant professors in their first two years is 2/2. In the third year and beyond, the typical teaching load is 3/3 with some opportunities for course load reduction. Course offerings typically include a mixture of face-to-face, hybrid, and online modalities.
