Position Description
  • Dept. seeks to develop pool of candidates for temporary/non‑nured faculty to teach in Communication Studies.
  • Temporary/non‑nured faculty are appointed to teach one to four courses per semester based on student demand on a semester‑by‑semester basis. Eligibility for annual reappointment is contingent on satisfactory annual performance evaluations, continuity of funding, and departmental/school need. Successful candidates may teach at the San Marcos and Round Rock campuses and/or online, depending on department needs.
  • Posting is for fall 2024, spring 2025, and summer 2025 semesters.
  • This posting does not necessarily convey that a need currently exists. Applicants for a pool position will be available to the departmental search committee for consideration if a need arises.
  • Positions are subject to availability of funds.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in teaching field, generally required; specific educational requirements vary by position.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous teaching experience preferred.
