Qualifications

Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cancer Biology or related biomedical field.
Eligible for appointment at Associate Professor rank.
Demonstrated record of independent research productivity and extramural funding potential.
Record of publications in peer-reviewed journals and experience teaching/mentoring.

Responsibilities

Maintain an active, externally funded research program with national recognition.
Publish high-impact work in peer‑reviewed journals.
Teach and participate in medical and graduate education programs.
Mentor graduate students, postdocs, residents, and trainees.
Collaborate across departments and research centers.
Serve on departmental, institutional, and professional committees.
Advance LSU Health Shreveport's research and educational missions.
