Job summary

LSU Health Sciences Center New Orleans invites applications for an Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor in Molecular Epidemiology. The faculty member will lead research in molecular or cancer epidemiology, develop an externally funded program, and contribute to teaching and mentoring within the Epidemiology and Population Health Program.

Qualifications

  • Doctorate in a relevant field (epidemiology, biostatistics, public health or related)
  • Evidence of robust epidemiologic research program and potential for independent extramural funding
  • Experience in mentoring students, postdocs, and junior faculty

Responsibilities

  • Advise and mentor students, post-doctoral fellows, and junior faculty
  • Develop and sustain an externally funded research program
  • Conduct and publish in leading epidemiology and public health journals
  • Collaborate across departments to advance health equity and population health
