Job summary

MilliporeSigma in the United States (Wisconsin) is seeking a hands-on technician to manufacture or evaluate products, set up equipment, and run analytical tests according to established protocols.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Chemistry or life sciences, 1+ year in a lab or manufacturing setting, and the ability to work independently on a night shift Sunday through Thursday. Competitive pay and benefits included.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture or evaluate products according to established protocols, provide technical support to others and perform operations in support of the group and department.
• Set up equipment, produce chemicals (existing items, new products, lost suppliers, takeovers or customs) and/or run analytical tests.
• Ensure quality specifications for final product. Document results and observations as defined in department guidelines.
• Ability to work independently and accurately.
• Review protocols and suggest changes as necessary for management review.
• Train new employees and assist in cross-training current employees.
• Leading department when supervisor is absent or leading a small group in production.
• Assist in scheduling duties, assigning duties, and making sure duties are completed as necessary.

Your Role

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology or other life science discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a chemical laboratory or manufacturing facility.

Pay Range for this position: $27/hr- $48/hr. The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses.
