Job summary

Picarro is seeking an Associate Product Manager for Workplace Solutions in Santa Clara, CA to own roadmaps across hardware and software features. You will collaborate with R&D, engineering, data analytics, sales, and operations to define and deliver products that enhance workplace monitoring solutions.

You will drive customer insights, write MRDs/PRDs, and lead agile delivery while supporting hardware NPI and PLC processes. Travel ~20% for customer visits and conferences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or related technical field.
• MS or PhD is a plus.
• 2-3 years in product management and 3-5 years in applications engineering or similar with product ownership responsibilities.
• Hands-on experience managing software, hardware, or both products.
• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
• Experience as a product owner or in sprint-based development.
• Experience with hardware development processes including NPI, design verification, and PLM.
• Ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Strong written and verbal communication; MRDs/PRDs experience.
• Willingness to travel ~20% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Own product roadmap for workplace products across hardware and software.
• Drive market and customer insight through interviews, data analysis, and market research.
• Write MRDs, PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Lead cross-functional execution with R&D, engineering, manufacturing, QA, software, and data analytics.
• Champion Agile delivery as a product owner in Scrum cycles.
• Support hardware NPI and PLC processes for smooth transitions to production.
• Develop sales collateral, training materials, and competitive positioning.
• Represent Picarro at industry conferences and with key stakeholders.
• Define KPIs and track adoption and post-launch performance.
• Monitor market trends, regulations, and new technologies.
