  • Insurance Product Management Expertise: Extensive background in insurance product management, with a deep understanding of commercial lines insurance products, pricing architecture, and state regulations.
  • Analytical Proficiency: Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, trend analysis, and competitor data. Proficiency in analytical tools, relational databases, data visualization techniques, and statistical software.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of coding languages such as R or SQL to support data analysis and product management tasks.

Job Description Summary

As an Associate Product Manager, you'll be responsible for positioning products for profitable growth within states that are generally smaller or less complex. You may have opportunities to work on a portion of a more sophisticated state in support of Product Manager. Work will include implementing processes related to financial planning, rate reviews, market development and communication. You'll support regional and corporate objectives through ongoing analysis and monitoring of results to ensure alignment to objectives.

Job Responsibilities
  • Gather information from internal and external sources, including competitor filings, reports, and verbal inputs, to perform comprehensive analysis.
  • Analyze product performance, identify opportunities at various levels, and develop recommendations to improve profitability.
  • Manage timelines and coordinate project work to ensure timely completion of processes like rate reviews.
  • Determine product positioning strategies to enhance profitability, influencing decisions with internal and external partners.
  • Develop detailed product plans aligned with financial and strategic objectives, influencing regional strategies.
  • Consult with leadership and partners on analysis and business performance, supporting initiatives with data and insights.
  • Communicate complex data and strategic concepts effectively to diverse audiences, both verbally and in writing.
  • Build and maintain relationships with peers and partners, supporting project and business needs.
  • Participate in training, education, and mentoring activities to enhance knowledge and skills.

May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Reports to the Senior Product Manager.
